Synthetic samples (Composite)
Sample of germplasm representative of genetic variation presumed to exist in a specific species, resulting from a mixture of genotypes of various origins, with uniform mesological conditions. In agriculture, a mixture of genotypes from multiple sources and the access resulting treated as a variety. This concept has links to the surface to be occupied by Conservation centers of genetic resources, for its adoption would imply less use of materials and occupied area. The model is opposed by those who insist that each germplasm sample must correspond to an access, saved individually.
