Synthetic sample (composite)
Sample for germplasm representative of the genetic variation presumed to exist in a species, resulting from a mixture of genotypes of various origins, with mesological uniform conditions. In agriculture, a mixture of genotypes of various origins and resulting access is treated as a range. This concept has ties to the area to be occupied by Conservation centers of genetic resources, because its adoption would imply less use of materials and occupied area. The model is opposed by those who insist that each germplasm sample must correspond to an access, saved individually.
