ITPGRFA is the acronym for the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (in English 'The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture' 'ITPGRFA). Treaty under the auspices of FAO, ratified by Brazil in 2006, establishes standards for the Conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture and equitable sharing of benefits derived from their use in harmony with the Convention on Biodiversity.
