Active collection
Collection of access, which is routinely used for research purposes, characterization evaluation and use of materials. The collection is active multiplied according to the demand for germplasm by breeders and researchers and regenerated periodically. The dynamic character of the collection activity is indicated by the fact that access into and out of the inventory according to management decisions. In the case of elimination of accesses, they may (or not) come to join the base collection, which is larger in scope than the active collection. The active collection generally works in two cycles: growing live plants and seeds stored in the field to Regeneration or Multiplication materials. The active collection should correspond to a subset of base collection.
