Exchanging germplasm

1. Internal transit process, import or export and germplasm;
2. In the case of exsiccates, it says that the process of internal transit of herbarium specimens is done by exchange, donation or loan;
3. Loan, return, exchange, donation or transfer of biological material between a national scientific institution or scientific collection based overseas, with non-commercial use (No 160/2007/IBAMA IN;
4. The data and information obtained in the exchange by the movement of genetic material for research and its implications in a technical-scientific and legal matters, are generated according to the actions of researchers/curators and their institutions. As for the interaction between researchers/curators, it occurs with the involvement of foreign institutions. The movement of the material for research is classified as import or export according to the sense of displacement, in other words, if the material enters or leaves the country, respectively. If, however, the movement happens within the country between different institutions or between units of the same institution, it is classified as internal transit. (COSTA et al. 2007).
