CPATU stands for Embrapa Eastern Amazon. Embrapa Eastern Amazon's mission is to facilitate solutions to research, development and innovation for agriculture sustainability, agribusiness and forest and contribute to the conservation of the natural capital of the eastern Amazon in benefit of society. CPATU is the former name of the original acronym Embrapa Eastern Amazon: Centro de Pesquisa Agropecuária do Trópico Úmido Center for Agricultural Research in the Humid Tropics.
