CPAC stands for Embrapa Cerrados a vast tropical savanna ecoregion of Brazil. Embrapa Cerrados has been dedicated to meeting the needs of the country and the expectations of society in knowledge generation and technology that enables the rational occupation of the biome. It develops and coordinates research in natural resources, production systems, socioeconomics, and identifies the potential for exploitation and use strategies to generate, validate and transfer technology, benefiting from the set of active farmers in the region. CPAC is the ancient name of the original acronym Embrapa Cerrados: Centro de Pesquisa Agropecuária dos Cerrados Agricultural Research Center of Savannah.
