CNPA (English)

CNPA stands for Embrapa Cotton, the unit that aims to:
- Generate and transfer technologies with low environmental impact;
- To develop cotton cultivars resistant to diseases and adapted to the Brazilian "cerrado" (a biome of savannahs);
- To develop cultivars adapted to the cultivation of cotton in semi-arid region;
- Develop cultivars of peanut, sesame and castor adapted to the cultivation in the Northeast;
- To strengthen family farming and agribusiness;
- Discover new applications for the products studied;
- Integrate agriculture to the industry and the consumers.
CNPA is the ancient name of the original acronym Embrapa Cotton: (Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Algodão) National Center for Cotton Research.
