CGEN (English)

CGEN (Conselho de Gestão do Patrimônio Genético) is the acronym for the Board of Management of Genetic Resources, a collegiate(joint) body under the Ministry of the Environment comprising representatives from 19 agencies and entities of the Federal Government,it has a deliberative and regulatory framework for management of genetic resources. Responsible, among others, for reviewing and authorizing the transport of genetic material between national institutions and institutions abroad.
