  1. Sample for germplasm representative of an individual or several individuals of the population. 2. Any individual record contained in a Germplasm Collection. In the long-term storage, each sample corresponds to a germplasm seed access (VALOIS et al., 1996). 3. Any individual record contained in a genebank, such as a seedling, a manioc etc.[1]
  2. It is an organism (lineage), which was embedded in a particular collection. An Access has as the primary identifier an integer that follows the prefix to which the collection is an integral part. For example, a collection whose prefix is MC, there can be accesses MC1, MC2, MC3, etc.. An Access may have one or more samples of access.
