Techniques that use living organisms or parts of them to make or modify products,to genetically improve plants or animals, or develop microorganisms for specific purposes. The biotechnology techniques use genetic engineering, molecular biology, cell biology and other disciplines and its products in the scientific, agricultural, medical and environmental fields.[1]
