FAO stands for Food and Agriculture Organization, in Portuguese: "Organização das Nações Unidas para a Agricultura e a Alimentação" - the United Nations Food and Agriculture -. Its aim is to raise levels of nutrition and rural development through programs to improve the production, processing, marketing and distribution of food and agricultural products.
