CNPAE stands for Embrapa Agroenergy. Embrapa Agroenergy, developing the concept of innovation for sustainability and focusing on solutions - from biomass to energy, has set priorities for research, development and innovation on four platforms: ethanol, biodiesel, energy forests, co-products and waste, and with actions planned PD & I in three areas of knowledge: agronomic, industrial and cross-sectional studies (socio-economic, environmental, sustainability, life cycle and energy balance, markets, among others). CNPA is the former name of the original acronym Embrapa Agroenergy: Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Agroenergia National Center for Research on Agro-energy.
