Morphological change in an organism when subjected to various environmental stimulus. A common example is that provided by aquatic plants, whose leaves have different morphology from those submerged on water. Another situation frequently found among weeds and invasive plants, is the profusion of leaf morphology between individuals of this population; these forms are defined as morphotypes; ability shown by a genotype assuming different phenotypes. Every phenotype plasticity is genetically determined.[1]
