Random changes in allele frequencies, which usually occur in small populations, as a result of sampling error. It can be caused by:
a) effect of funneling, which is the drastic reduction in size sample;
b) founder effect that occurs when the original sample is made from a small number of individuals;
c) the small effect size sample, which occurs when the size of the access remains small over several generations.[1]
